hey,
I just bought BFBC2 today and installed it and updated and everything, when i went to play online it came up with the normal box offering e-mail and password with the 2 options create and login, i first tried to create account through there and repeatedly it "failed" then i tried to create an account on the EA website, which i was hoping would allow me to logon to the game, this didnt work either. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
thanks

If the account you created was for this site, it won't work, you need an account with the EA USA main site.
If you have registered games with EA in the past or created an account at the EA Support site then you already have such an account and can use that email and password to log in to the game.
For the in game account creation, check the game is allowed net access through any software firewall you may be using.

Me too. This is annoying and unacceptable bug.

I too went to the EA website and created a new account and carefully typed in a password.

Then ingame it refused to accept it, even though the email password combination works to access the website.

I too am having this same problem, I type my account and pass, and it just says I don't exist. Create account doesn't try to do anything, as soon as I click it goes straight to a 'failed to create' box.

Any thoughts on what would cause this?

EDIT - I figured it out by looking that everyone with the problem is australian, we made it on the aussie EA, you just have to go create an EA account on the www.ea.com totally solved the problem for me instantly.

Have fun and

Servers appear to be down again, you will have to wait for them to come back up, or perhaps play the single player game while waiting.
